Healthy Communities Program
A local utility company’s recent survey found that nearly 400,000 Arkansas homes could benefit from significant energy efficiency improvements.
That's why Healthy Homes is a major component of the Village Commons Healthy Communities Program.
Many of these improvements would be easily done and would have very short payoff times. At a time when the economy is weak and high energy demands threaten the health of our planet and therefore future generations, this program offers great benefit with little cost.
In addition to improving energy efficiency, this project will target improved air quality and other issues related to the health of homes. Studies have shown that a healthy home can reduce the cost of health care and make our daily lives happier.
Goal
The goal of Project Healthy Homes is simple and straightforward: to improve the energy efficiency and resolve health concerns of homes in communities where there is a need.
